How does Sososher work? On-line retailers spend an absolute fortune on online advertising.
Sososher simply shares the advertising commission it receives from its retail partners with its members every time they buy something by clicking through to a retailer from our website.
So for example Mrs S Ososher does all her usual shopping at the retailer’s official websites, but instead of going there direct, she logs into her Sososher account and clicks on their link. That way, Mrs S Ososher receives all the added bonuses, including cash back for all of her purchases, voucher codes, entries into competitions and much more. We have over 2,000 retailers you can shop with and more added every day. We personally get the cash back, and we share this with you if you visit the sites and make a purchase through our links which enables us to track your purchases and pay you.  Mrs S Ososher is not under any commitment and can cancel her Sososher membership whenever she likes...But why would she? – It’s a Fantastic Website For Fantastic People.
The amount of Cash back specified is given back to you after you have paid, and collects in your own personal account which you can see by clicking on the My Account tab. Once your payments have cleared, you can request a withdrawal.

How long does it take for a payment to be shown on my Cashback Statement?
Most transactions will appear on your account the same day, and almost all will appear within 3 working days. However some retailers may take 30 days or more to report a transaction to us, in the case of retailers such as Insurance Companies who require you to make several consecutive payments. If in doubt please submit a missing Cash back ticket as soon as you think your Cash back is overdue. In the small number of cases where Cash back is not tracked automatically the quicker you let us know the easier it is to recover the funds from the retailer. All missing Cash backs should be reported to us within 30 days of purchase.

At the moment Sososher only issues payment via PayPal. Very shortly we will also be issuing payments by BACS or cheque. For your initial payment from us you have to reach £20 of ‘confirmed’ cash back before you are paid. Confirmed cash back is that which has had the minimum 30-65 day period to allow for returns etc. Payments will be made on or around the first working day of each month, you will then be paid by your chosen payment method.
If your account balance is not at the required level of £20 of confirmed cash backinitial payment, then the funds will automatically be rolled over to the next month. For your peace of mind, we use a secure connection so all your personal details are encrypted to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.

Payments are confirmed as soon as we are able to. But the length of time it takes to confirm each payment depends on several factors. As a general rule, small payments will be confirmed soon after they appear on your statement. Other payments will take up to around 60 days to be confirmed (a small number of retailers will take longer than 60 days).
Retailers have the right to cancel your Cashback if you return or cancel your purchase before your obligations are complete. This process is not linked to Sososher in real time, but is instead reported by retailers in batches every few weeks. For example, if you purchase an item and return it after a few weeks the retailer may take several more weeks to cancel your Cashback. We are unable to confirm your Cashback until we are sure that it will not be cancelled by the retailer.

Some retailers provide exact details of how long it takes them to review and cancel transactions. This means that we are able to confirm payments sooner.
Where a retailer has not informed Sososher how long they reserve the right to cancel a transaction, your transaction can only be set to "confirmed" once the retailer has sent payment - this may take 60-80 days after your transaction.
Unfortunately, as the confirmation of an individual payment relies on information being passed to us from retailers, we are unable to advise on when individual payments will be confirmed.

Cashback works in a similar way to earning points on your supermarket loyalty card - except that it's cash and it's usually much more generous. The Cashback you earn is not taken off your bill; instead it's credited to your Sososher account. Usually there is little for you to do as the systems will track your purchases and pay your Cashback automatically. All you have to do is follow a few simple rules:
1. Always be certain when you make a purchase at a Retailer site that you came to the site directly from Sososher. If you have been surfing a number of sites, perhaps comparison sites, or other sources of information about a product or service, please be sure to come back to Sososher and click through directly to the Retailer site. You will also need to make sure your shopping basket is empty on the retailer site before clicking through from Sososher.
2. If there is a problem with your order that requires the retailer to contact you, e.g. if there is a problem with your payment, or the retailer has a problem with stock and offers you an alternative product, the retailer may treat your amended order as a new order. This in turn may affect your entitlement to Cashback. If this occurs we strongly advise you to cancel your order and place a new one via Sososher.
The Retailer site will track your reference from Reward Gateway and if you take any action which earns Cashback, the Retailer will notify us usually within 1-3 days. At this point your Sososher account will show a 'pending' payment for the Cashback that you have earned.
You will then need to wait until the Retailer tells us that your order has not been cancelled or returned until you can withdraw your money.
The length of time this takes varies (especially as some retailers allow you to return products for up to 28 days, and some contract providers allow you to cancel during your first month of service). But usually the retailer agrees to pay for your Cashback between 1 and 60 days after your purchase date, or more in some cases. As soon this happens the Cashback will be added to your available balance and the status will be set to "confirmed". You will then be able to make a withdraw.

No, if you return an item or cancel your order then you should not keep the Cashback – Only eligible completed purchases are entitled to cashback.
If you have a confirmed or pending transaction in your account that you know should be cancelled then please let us know and do not attempt to make a withdrawal as it would be unfair on the retailer concerned and will ultimately have to be repaid
The systems in reporting cancelled transactions are quite complex and consequently it takes some retailers a long time to report cancelled Cashback to us, in the mean time as a service to you we may have already confirmed the transaction. This does not mean that the retailer has agreed to pay for your incomplete transaction.

The Cashback rates published on Sososher are calculated from figures provided by our retailers. However some retailers handle the way Cashback is calculated differently from others, therefore on rare occasions the Cashback can appear to be wrong (it may be slightly more or less than you were expecting), for example:
* Some retailers exclude postage and packing charges when calculating Cashback.
* Some retailers exclude VAT from your order when calculating Cashback.
* A few retailers pay us in other currencies, the Cashback paid in these circumstances is therefore subject to fluctuations, but should never be less than the rate that is advertised.
If after taking these points into consideration you still believe the Cashback that you have received to be wrong, please contact us via the links below and we will investigate on your behalf.
Please ensure that you report any incorrect Cashback amounts within 45 days of placing the order with the retailer. We cannot investigate claims for missing Cashback on orders that were placed more than 45 days ago.

Generally speaking, vouchers are only supposed to be used in conjunction with the website or organisation that issued them. If the voucher or promotional discount is featured on Sososher, then you are entitled to use this discount and earn Cashback.
If you use a voucher or promotional discount that is provided by a source other than Sososher, we cannot guarantee that Cashback will be credited. For example: If you try to combine a ‘refer a friend’ code with Cashback. Some websites will not allow you to use both, as either Sososher or your friend can be the referrer.

No, Cashback is only paid for orders that are completed completely online (unless stated otherwise). If there is a problem with your order that requires your purchase to be completed in some other way the retailer will not pay Cashback.
Orders placed online that are later revised by phone or email are not eligible for Cashback. For example, this includes insurance quotes that are obtained online but are later confirmed over the phone. Additionally, if there is a problem with your order that requires the retailer to contact you, e.g. if there is a problem with your payment, or the retailer has a problem with stock and offers you an alternative product, the retailer may treat your amended order as a new order. This in turn may affect your entitlement to Cashback. If this occurs we strongly advise you to cancel your order and place a new one via Sososher. Otherwise the payment of Cashback cannot be guaranteed.
If, however, your online purchase requires a paper application form to be completed (e.g. with bank accounts) you will still earn Cashback.

Generally speaking the amount that is displayed in your account is shown very shortly after the transaction was made. After the initial notification of the transaction, it is customary that the status of each transaction is not identified to us until the end of each month. This can mean that the transaction may still show as pending within your account for some time afterwards, even if the item that was purchased was cancelled or returned very soon after the original transaction was made.

Due to the high amount of Cashback offered by financial partners, they need to protect themselves from fraud. Some partners, for example in the Financial Category will take longer to track and become payable to ensure that members aren't signing up with the intention of cancelling their policies as soon as they have received their Cashback. There is also more paperwork/credit checks etc involved with financial partners. All of this adds to the overall time taken. All genuine transactions are paid, it may just take a little longer...but with the rewards on offer it is worth the wait!

We try to be as accurate as possible with our dates, however, these are only estimates. Each date is "on average". This is because the number of days depends on whether your transaction was done at the beginning of the month, or the end of the month. The date we are paid by our partners is also a determining factor. As mentioned above the dates are for guidance only. You will generally find that most transactions are batch updated towards the end of the month, prior to the estimated "paid date"
